Hi ladies!

Jessie: I'm so sorry you're dealing with these health concerns and problems with C. I hope the doctors can figure out what is going on with you and how to help you.

Not much is up with me right now. Just working. Some issues with work. K and I are great. His grandfather passed away some weeks ago and he was pretty upset but dealt with everything well. He says the engagement is coming "soon enough" his definition of soon and mine are different of course. We did discuss possibly getting married next summer but nothing definite. Our two year anniversary is in July and I booked a helicopter flying lesson for us and we're supposed to go to Cape Cod for the weekend.

You're pilots?

Too: No we're not but at some point we had discussed wanting to learn to fly so I thought it would be a good surprise. A coworker also had these lessons with her bf and they enjoyed it.

Ah! Sounds like a lot of fun.

I don't have my license yet but I plan to get my private pilot's licence for at least single engine airplanes (night & day). I'd like to also do multi engine and seaplane.

FI has his private & commercial licenses and can fly single or multi engine airplanes (day/nigh, VFR/IFR) and I think he's also got one for the smaller (under a certain weight?) helecopters. He wants to add seaplane when he does his bi-annual flight review.

Hey Ladies, just a quick update before i pass out. I went to the doctor today, and got an exam, and more ultrasounds( o so much fun  ), and upon my examine, the doctor might have found the source of the pain and issues. I have ovarian cyst that are bursting, and i am getting more du eo the pregnancy hormones. Also, i have a retrograde uterus that is titled and it sits right on my colon, and bladder, and due to it expending, its causing pain. The doctor said, if i continue the pregnancy, i will need to be on bedrest, most if not all of the pregnancy. Also, do to my health issues, the doc does not know what the health of the baby would be, or if i could carry to full term. So, i am a high risk pregnancy, upon talking to my mother and the doctor, we have come to the conclusion that the baby needs to come out for a number of reasons, A) the health of the baby could be comprised B) Being a high risk pregnancy and not having health insurance is too much of a gamble on my health and fiances, i really need to plan my pregnancies, and thats if i can get pregnant C) Im not healthy enough to continue the pregnancy, and continue school. So at this point its medically necessary for me to have the baby removed.

Jessie,
I'm so sorry you're going through this. Does the doctor want to remove/test the cysts?

Thanks too- no the doctor doesnt want to remove them, he feels that they are fine since they are taking care of themselves by bursting. I think im sad about the fact that down there is so messed up, i might not be able to have kids.

I am glad you found out what is causing the pain. However, I am sorry about all the stuff you are going through! Be strong!!! HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

So. Burned. Out.

I am REAAAALLLLLY looking forward to this 3-day-weekend. (Memorial Day is observed Mon 5/30!)

School is going really fast this quarter but still seems to be taking forever. (How does that work? ) Seems like the quarter just started and finals are already just 3 weeks away.

OOOOOOooooO!!!!!!!!!
B's birthday is just TWO weeks away!

We aren't in a position for me to get him anything big this year, but I'm doing what I can to make it nice for him. After lots of thought, I'm going with the exact same robe he has now (favorite color, fabric he loves, this one has lasted really well for a long time) and another shower wrap thing from the same company. I'm also planning to make him a nice breakfast (probably loks, eggs & onions with a nice bagel) then take the day off of work (he doesn't know) so that I can bake him a cake and have a nice dinner ready.

Hey Ladies.....at least school is going by quickly Too...im sorry about not being able to get him anything. I know the feeling. Hows the wedding going BG?

So i had the abortion yesturday, and it was easy. Easier than i thought, and not having any complications besides some cramping, and a BAD bruise from the IV. Im sad about the having to have the abortion, but i know it was the best choice for my health. I felt like my health was detorarting right in front of my eyes.

I'm sorry Jessie. It sounded like your body was not doing well with the pregnancy. I think you made the decision you had to. Your health is important and when you're having such severe problems this early on, I don't think it is healthy to continue. I hope your body recovers quickly and your doctor is able to find out what went wrong.

Thank you Hon, i feel like i made the best decision. My body was not doing well with the pregnancy, which means it wsill most likely always be hard to have kids. Which is the sad part. I just want to heal now, and rest, and than start working on me again. The doctor thinks the problem is my uterus being retrograde(pretty much leaning the wrong way) and being titled on top of that, and the ovarian cysts. Too much at one time.

I ordered B's gift. It isn't as much as what I'd like to give him, but I wanted to at least have something to give him.

Hopefully the quality is as good as it is said to be....
It'll be delivered to my office so I just have to wait and see.

Oh.... It is a navy blue bathrobe made of 100% Turkish cotton.

LoL....i was waiting for you to tell us what you ordered...lol...i was feeling anxious. Where did you order it, im sure it will be okay?

Ordered this one: Link

Navy blue.

I see on their site that my order has shipped but I don't have any tracking information yet. I'm excited to see it and feel the fabric when it gets here.

Cake

This is the cake I made a couple of years ago. He loved it and when I asked what kind of cake he'd like this year, he requested this one again. It really is delicious.

I have an exam the day before so I'm going to have to make it on his b-day. I'm going to try to make the lemon filling the night before and then I'm taking the day of his b-day off (he doesn't know) to do the cake and dinner.

We've got a dinner we're going to Friday night and I'm planning to do a big batch of cupcakes with this recipe too. I did a big batch for the guys he works with last year and they are apparently still talking about them!

O wow....that looks good. It looks like you planned everything nicely, it will be a nice birthday for him. How many cupcakes are you making

O wow.....you gotta post pictures when you get this in

I'll post pics when I get it if I'm able to find a minute with the camera here, otherwise I'll post pics when I give it to him. Should be here by the end of next week (probably a bit sooner).

The cupcakes are so cute and REALLY yummy. I think I got like 3 dozen out of one cake batch last year so I'll probably do two batches of the cake recipe and just see how many I wind up with. I want to bring at least 4 dozen so there is enough for anyone who wants to have one.

Still not sure what to cook for dinner...
He doesn't have a "favorite" food exactly. Got lots of stuff he likes and his "favorite" changes from day to day.
I'm looking at recipes hoping for inspiration. (We don't eat shellfish ever and he doesn't really care for fish -- so I've got it narrowed down to chicken, beef, lamb, or vegetarian  )

C is like that, he changes from day to day, but LOVE fish/shellfish, whereas for me, it makes me sick. Maybe you can do like a primerib, i did one for christmas, slow cooked for almost 3 hours, it was perfect.

That sounds yummy. B loves a good rib roast or tenderloin but we don't do them often.

Maybe start the evening with a nice French onion soup (modified to be non-dairy) followed by a green salad (candied pecans, Asian pear, raspberry vinegarette)? This I could prepare during the day and have when he gets home (I can make sure it is earlier than usual!) while the roast is cooking to perfection.

I usually do a roasted garlic mashed potato dish with roasts..... that I could do up earlier in the day and just warm for serving. Of course a super reduced beef/wine sauce.

Okay..... You got me convinced! A yummy roast it is!

Jessie: I am sorry about the abortion. I hope you are getting better now. How are things with C? Well, wedding planning is good. Pretty much done. I am looking for a place for us to live after we are married. I actually just came back from Bellingham WA. I went there with my FI over our long weekend last week. I bought quite a few things from walmart. Things in the states are soooo much cheaper!

Too:I love french onion soup. How's wedding planning?

Too- that sounds sooooo yummy. OMG, can you please cook for me?? Im glad you have ideas now, but goodness, im hungry now.

BG- thank you so much, it was a very hard decision to make, but i am already feeling well. When i get some health insurance, i have to find a great gyno to see what can be done, if anything about my uterus, and possible fertitly in the future. O wow, house hunting is probabaly more daunting than the wedding stuff. Hopefully you can find a good place soon. C and i are working on some things, we are okay.He went with me to every doctor appointment, and took me home afterwards and took care of me all day. He just wants me healthy at this point in time, but we still have a long road to recovery.

Bellingham is pretty! (I've only been there once, but I remember lots of pretty flower gardens)

House hunting is so tiring. There are lots of great houses out there, it is just super challenging to find one close enough to work/school/etc. for both of you, in your price range, and BOTH of you love.....
(Oh, the stories I've got from house hunting    )

I'm pretty much at a wedding planning stand still right now. We're at that time of the year where we find out how much (or if) FI gets a bonus and raise at work. Until we either find out that or get the d*** lawsuit settled (airplane title thing), we can't even begin to set a budget or book anything.

On the positive side:
There were some renovations done at the winery and a new head chef who seems to have a different approach to food than the guy we really liked so we really need to visit again and see if it is still the best option for us. There is a mega concert the weekend we were going to have the wedding so we would have heard the music echoing through the gorge all weekend (plus it would have been crowded at the hotel due to the people staying over for that). And -- if all goes well (fingers crossed) -- we'll be able to have a much nicer wedding with a lot less stress because a few major things seem to be wrapping up (finally!!!).

To top it all off -- Shavout is June 7/8 so I'm also making a cheesecake! (might have to re-think this though and settle for something yummy & dairy but much smaller)

My poor pants ;( :nono:
