The paper is almost done! Just putting the finishing touches...

Later today I''ll be going to the post office to send Overnight Express mail as she wants them on her doorstep by Saturday, when she gets back from Italy. Thanks for holding me accountable Elle! LOL

What are the plans for this weekend everyone? I have no class for the next two Saturdays!!! Woo Hoo...party at my house!

Hey, there''s not that much I can do as an e-friend, so I figure holding you accountable for your school work is something I can help out with.

The woman who sits next to me at work just got a call. Her 26 year old daughter was at work (She waits tables), had a seizure (has never had one before) fell, hit her head, blood everywhere, and unresponsive.

Scary. I hope everything is OK. This is like the 3rd or 4th really bad thing to happen to this woman in like less than a year.

Ha! I wish I had a glow. Mine''s more like I was sitting in the splash zone at sea world. Hell, I''ve had people ask me if I had a good work out after ironing my clothes on a hot day. But good for you Jcar for working out.

I woke up super cranky this morning. FF was trying to cheer me up. I had a cup of coffee and was instantly happier. Same thing happens when I get some alcohol in me. FF comments, "should I be worried that your happiness is dependent on caffine and booze?" Me, "hmm...nah"

It''s a netbook, actually. Tiny tiny! Mine has an 8.9" screen, and it''s made by Acer. I needed the hyper-portability, and OH MY this thing has it -- it''s about the size and weight of a novel. I''m still setting it up, but so far, I''m very happy with it.

thats awesome. i want one that is great speed for d/l online, and good for mp3 programs, and of course, photoshop.

I'm torn and need advice. (Yes, I'm asking for advice)

At work we are short the AVP at the moment. We've interviewed 5 candidates since last month. Yeserday was the last one. The VP wants us to write our review on them after the interviews. I've done this for the past 4 candidates. There is one that I love and think is great but the others don't feel he has the strong points. Fine, whatever. They think we have problems within the department. I wont get into it but I don't think its a big deal. So they are a bit jaded and want someone to come in and get rid of 2 people.

Well candidate #4 was super-b!tch. The "My way or the highway" & fly off the handle personality. Sure, a few co-workers love her (because of being jaded). I don't want to bother with her as I was yelled at within my past job. NOT DOING IT AGAIN. So I find out today that VP likes her a lot with the exception that she used foul language during the interview.

Candidate #5 was just....eh...she was nice I guess. Rather calm. I don't have much to say about her. Only negative thing was at her last job she eliminated the entire department.

So here I am. I need to write my review on #5 while knowing VP likes #4 (and I can't stand #4) but she didn't lay the entire department off at her last job. I understand I am not the one hiring, I'm just apart of the process so VP will see what I say and either take it or leave it. I just don't know what to write about #5. Because what is better, fly off the handle super-b!tch (just don't make her mad) or boring could wipe out the department calm lady...lol

JCar -- this little guy has a screen that''s a bit too small for Photoshop. I''ll still be using my tablet PC for anything heavily graphical. I am, however, a giant fan of how small this computer is, and it''s going to be my new bring-everywhere computer for checking the internet and doing homework at Starbucks.

Just give an honest review of candidate #5. That''s what you''re being asked for. I doubt a hail Mary, last ditch effort to not wind up with #4 is going to work. The VP needs to hire somebody that''s the best for the team, and a less than honest review most likely won''t do much to pursuade the VP if their mind is made up. Plus it would look really odd if everybody seemed kind of lukewarm on this candidate and you were suddenly gung-ho on hiring them. JMHO, though.

I hope everyone had a great day. I was off, so it was automatically a great day

with the exception of the dentist. Apparently, my tooth that has been bothering me became infected from a sinus infection!!! I couldn''t even believe that was possible, lol! I went in there gung ho on having to have a root canal. But it was odd, because I work as a social worker and one of my rather annoying clients was at the dentist at the same time!! I had to ask the nurse to switch my room!!! Thankfully, she didn''t see me!!! I couldn''t believe she was there.

Dream, princess said it all in regards to your situation. Just be honest about it with #5. Unfortunately, when my bosses are set on someone, they hire them, regardless of what we say. Sometimes it backfires on them, but I always wondered why do they ask us for our opinions if they don''t consider them anyway, lol?? Good luck with the situation! I hope the evil beeyoch candidate does not get hired.
Off to rehearsal dinner for FI''s sister''s wedding on Saturday. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their night.
