Slowly dipping my toe in this thread.

Oooh another one! Welcome CDNinNYC! Is this a sign of the economy improving that we have so many joining TTC? I swear this thread was moving slowly for a while.

Congrats Ambulance, btw!

I was also just thinking that there aren''t any PSers preggo with twins. I wonder who the next twin mommy will be....
DCGator- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for finding that for me! It''s a huge help. Yes I think I will just temp regularly and just hope I can make sense of it all. I have a plan to avoid jetlag so hopefully temping won''t be disturbed too much. We leave here at 1pm PST and we will get to Japan at 6pm Japan-time (I think thats 1am our time). So my plan is to try and stay up for a few hours and go to bed around 8pm and sleep on through to the next morning. Hopefully that will fool my body and I can temp at my regular time the next morning.

Okay girls...the TWW is killing me!!! We are taking a long weekend and going to visit DH family, his nephew is getting Baptized this weekend. When I come back on Monday I should be about 8DPO. I honestly don''t feel it this month, even though we did most everything by the book, except BD on the day of O. If this is not our month, we will definitely BD a few extra times next month after O.

I am hoping to not test until the 13th, which should put me at about 13DPO. Anyone else in the TWW with me?

Congrats Ambulance!!

Still wading in slowly... will jump in the deep end next month..if I can wait. Actually I probably will have to, should be near O right now and DH is leaving for 10 days. He is ready to start ''right now'', but for some reason one more month seems to give me some sort of readiness. I''m actually a little nervous!! Thoughts keep coming in my head like "this could be the last month of this," or this might be the last whatever holiday of not being pregnant. Yeah, I"m a little out there.
2.gif

Another thing that is going to be interesting. We have a vacation planned next month (Warm weather!! SUN!!) mid month and it could end up being the first day of vacation would be close to POAS day or first day cycle day....wouldn''t that be something??? Oh how''d I love to tell my husband I"m pg at sunset on a beach in the Carribean....

back to reality....

ambulance92 - CONGRATS on the positive HPT! Super exciting. You are also the first 'Gold' winner in the month of February, so yeah for you
36.gif

lurkinglurker - Aren't you in the midst of your 2WW too? How much longer do you have to wait?

sunnyd - Well, its always a pleasure to see old friends, but I can hold off the 'official' welcome to later, if you want
2.gif
. Any more news on your maybe oopsie?

Bella and Bliss - You guys are absolutely hilarious and crazy!
41.gif
You had me literally LOL, so much so that my DH was staring at me funny last night. He asked what I was laughing at, and I think he thought we are all nuts, but he also said he is happy that I have all you ladies to comiserate with.

And, I couldn't agree with my DH more, you ladies are all SO FABULOUS! I
30.gif
you all and I hope that we can all share in our exciting journeys in the coming months
9.gif
. Thanks for bringing me lots of laughs when going through what can be a somewhat frustrating and fret-worthy path. Who would I obsess about TTC and CM with otherwise?

PS: Bliss, what was the prediction for this month?
Thanks for thinking of me DC, I'm on day 7, so 5 more days until I test. I have had a short luteal phase since coming off the pill (have no idea if it was short before that!). I've also had an issue with spotting for anywhere from 1-5(!) days before my period starts. This cycle I started taking extra B6, and I just really, really hope that the spotting stops, even if I don't get a BFP!

Good luck to everyone!

ETA: I'm right there with your AllieLuv - I'm looking forward to a weekend with fam too to keep my mind off of things as much as possible! ;)

I always thought I wanted twins until I visited my friend and her two four month old boys.

I'm in lady... the 13th will also be 13pdo for me. It's funny b/c we're not *trying* but every month I find myself looking and waiting for any kind of sign. It's driving me batty b/c I want it so bad but we're supposed to wait to *try* for a little while yet. We don't use protection though and even though I made DH aware of my fertile period, he insisted we still go for it b/c whatever happens, happens and if it does, we'll be very happy!

Now, my question is, for those ladies who felt that little twinge or cramp or whatever it is called when implantation is occurring... what does it exactly feel like? Like a menstrual cramp? Or different in some way? I'm feeling extremely different. I thought last month I was feeling some things but this month is SO different. I don't want to read into it but I definitely do feel different.

I'm also extremely bloated which I generally don't bloat, not even when AF comes to visit. And then there's the really weird feelings in my lower lower abdomen. I am 4dpo right now.

CD- I get the same feeling everytime DH and I have been to DisneyWorld. We wanted 3 before our last trip and upon leaving we decided that 2 would be fine, possibly just one. LOL! We are starting to talk about 3 again, so I think another trip is in order, soon!

Hey IHA! You would not be feeling implantation or any symptoms that are pregnancy related this early. Symptoms felt this early on can be blamed on good ol' progesterone, which can cause a slew of things to occur to your body. Progesterone coursed through your body after ovulation and can cause many symptoms which can be mistaken for pregnancy. Implantation bleeding and cramping should occur between 8-12DPO, only after implantation has occurred would you start to feel symptoms that are PREGNANCY related. But then again some women just KNOW that they are pregnant, unfortunately this early on, anything you are feelings would not be as a result of pregnancy.

An egg once released and fertilized takes between 6-8 days to travel down into the uterus, then another 2 or so days to attach and finally burrow into the rich uterine lining, that is when the body starts to release the HCG in order to get a positive, this is why the earliest someone can get a positive is 8DPO+.

Good luck lady...I will report back with my own symptoms/or lack there of after Monday!

Thanks for all the info, Allie! I know anything I''m feeling is probably in my head. And I''m content with that... I like to live in my own little world sometimes.
3.gif
Hehe. It probably is all the hormones b/c man I''ve been one raging biatch today!

I''ve been trying to stay away from this thread but it''s not working.
38.gif
Is it also hard for you to stay away?

I know it is in my head as well. I have been so emotional lately. But then again I have been feeling like crap and it is really starting to get me down! I can''t wait to hear the outcome of this month.

Congrats Ambulance! Let''s hope you are leading the way for a lot more BFP this month.

Lurker - maybe it will be you! Hope the B6 helps - please let me know if you notice any different.

IHA - good luck waiting out the next 9 days... lots of dust.

Bliss and Bella - at least we can keep a sense of humor while TTC :) Thanks for the laughs.

Bella - I haven''t bought any baby stuff yet... but my bathroom cabinet is overflowing with CBEFM sticks, preseed, instead cups, opks, pregnancy test strips, and vitamins. I don''t want to think about how much I have spent on TTC only 1 month in.

Welcome to a few other women testing out the water: CDN, charbie, split shank. Getting so in tune with your body is an interesting process - Hope your stays are short.

**********

CD35 for me... nothing new to report. Heading into month 6 off birth control and still no sign that my body is regulating. I just started temping this month and BBT are all over the place and I am pretty sure I didn''t ovulate this cycle. I just wanted to get into a new cycle - come on AF just show up already. I am sure I won''t be encouraging her to show up much after this.

I did buy a supplement, Vitex, that is supposed to be a natural way to help with hormone regulation and ovulation. We shall see.

Allie - I hope you feel better soon!

Fisher and Lanie - any updates?

LL, I just wanted to give you a word of hope from a chronic spotter. I had a 13-14 luteal phase but would started spotting every cycle at about 8 or 9 DPO. I was SO WORRIED about my spotting. I googled it all the time and called my OBGYN no less than 5 times while we were TTC about it. She continued to reassure me that she didn''t think it was a problem. Lo and behold, on cycle 5, I got knocked up!

Good luck!

I''m not having any sort of crazy symptoms at the moment

Today I feel like "it will happen when the time is right..." but there is no telling about tomorrow! The stressing about TTC is getting kicked to the curb though, because there are just too many factors I cannot control! So take that baby-obsessed brain of mine.

IHA: Glad to see you back in the game, GFG!

Ryan Claire: I hope that AF comes for you soon. I am sorry to hear about your O problems too. Have you gone to see a RE specialist yet?

As for me, I am on track with Bliss to be in prime time over Valentine''s weekend. I am going to try to track my O date with OPK''s in addition to CM and BBT this month. We''ll see how it goes...

As for me, I am on track with Bliss to be in prime time over Valentine's weekend. I am going to try to track my O date with OPK's in addition to CM and BBT this month. We'll see how it goes...

I'm glad to have some company; we can commiserate together.
1.gif
I'm also on track with you and Bliss, it seems. Valentine's Day weekend is prime time for me too. I ran my dates through a website that attempts to predict due dates. If we end up with a 'surprise' this month, my due date would be my brother's birthday. I also ran my dates last month, and if we had conceived then, my due date was projected fall on my birthday in October. It's a little weird that my cycle is following my mother's from 30+ years ago.
32.gif
I'm ok waiting until May to start since it gives me a bit of time to lose some weight but I secretly did want a 10/10/10 surprise baby.

I haven't started tracking anything yet. I think I'll start after my next AF visit. I also scheduled an appointment next month with an ob/gyn. I haven't seen one since I moved to the US and I'm overdue. I received a referral for a doctor and booked an appointment, only to find out the dr. is a specialist in infertility. Ummm, I hope that isn't a sign.
20.gif
They cancelled my appointment when they realized I just wanted a regular check-up, though, and referred me to a 'regular' ob/gyn.

BTW, Bliss, I've been obsessing about baby names lately and your screen name is on my list. I just love that name for a little girl.

Good luck to everyone this month!

Yeah, I''m in the shallow end of the TTC pool.

Its funny, my husband sends me texts on occasion that say, "are you fertile tonight?" And I can''t tell if that''s a sign he wants to press our luck or stay away...haha. we were watching the movie Superbad last night and there is this line about spermicidal lube...I told him he can go pick some of that up.

My temps are wacko so far, only a few days in. Ill have to get a better system down. My husband is going to take my temp when he wakes up before he goes to work...haha! He actually called me after leaving yesterday and says, "Sorry! I forgot to take your temperature!"

Since I have no idea if or when I''m going to O now that I''m fresh off the pill, I''ve just calculated off a 28 day cycle, which means I would O on or around Valentines Day. Before going on the pill my cycle was very regular at 28 or so days, but my period would last up to 2 weeks! That being said, we will more than likely use some caution if I find that EWCM is present...

I''m excited that we''ve got quite the crew in the same boat right now! Seems like spring will be another baby boom after all our ladies going for the gold in february get their bfp''s!

welcome charbie and the rest of those who are dipping their toes in over here:-) We are slightly crazy, but enjoy having other ladies to go through this indescribable process with...it''s awfully quiet ladies, are well all waiting for "o" and the "2ww"?

I''m waiting for AF so we can get the second Feb cycle underway--I love that the days lines up so that Feb 1 and Feb 28 are my "o" days this month. It feels so much better to have a second chance in a month!
2.gif

Jump in charbie and CDN!!
36.gif
36.gif
9.gif

Bella- It IS quiet around these parts! Hehe, I love that you get two "gold" chances this month.

I was not going to post this, since I am trying to stop being so crazy and all. But as I have talked about ad nauseum, EW-ish CM has continued (in small amounts) since I thought O may have occurred. Now that same CM is brown/blood-tinged. I would be shocked if it were AF arriving. my cycles over the past couple years have been in the 32 (rarely) to 50/60 day range and this would be around 26 days? Besides that, I feel normal. We''ll see! Now I am contemplating BD again though, just in case this signifies ovulation? haha.

My husband pushed me in the pool today.
Poor guy has been very patient with my wacko cycle last month with me coming off the pill, then I read that you can ovulate really early coming off the pill, so I was just avoiding DTD, but then starting worrying about what if my cycle returns to normal and I o sometime soon. So I told DH I''m a horrible wife and not able to carry on my "wifely duties", to which he replied, "ok, seriously, what''s the worst that could happen? You get pregnant? That would be just fine with me! And it takes most people a lot of time of actually trying, so I''m pretty sure we will be ok. We are pretty average people, so it will probably take us an average amount of time to get knocked up." It was really cute, and of course his cuteness put me in the mood...
31.gif
and he really surprised me bc I didn''t realize he knew anything about getting pg...besides of course the basics. He went to an all guys catholic school for heavens sake!

Either way, I''m still going to keep tracking things and do my best to try waiting the next few months before we conceive, but these practice runs only mean for a shorter time in the deep end come the spring or summer, I hope!

Congrats Ambulance!
36.gif

I hope nobody minds... but I need to get out a quick vent. My dad was talking to my sister this morning and told her that we got a crib for when she comes to visit in a few months with my baby niece. My dad aslo says to her something along the lines of, and maybe they''ll be able to use it one of these days. My sister''s reply? Oh, they''re too old to have kids.

I know I shouldn''t put any stock in what she''s saying and I know that it''s just her being naive and young. But it stung for some reason. It''s all irrational because I KNOW I''m not too old and I know she was just making a very misinformed statement. So why did it hurt? I don''t know.

In my flash of anger I told my dad that not all of us get knocked up the first time when we''re 17. Of course that was totally unfair of me, but I almost felt like she was saying that somehow she had picked the better of the two times to have kids.

Today is CD 1 for me so maybe that''s why I''m being extra emotional. I''ll just blame the hormones.
37.gif

charbie- I have a feeling you''ll be jumping in the waters sooner than you think. Once you start posting around here, it''s a slippery slope.

Kunzite- No matter how old you are, what a rude/hurtful thing for your sister to say! Obviously she has no idea what she is talking about anyway. Hope the new cycle is the one

Thank you icekid. I''m trying to just push it out of my mind because truthfully she doesn''t know what she''s talking about. I can''t decide if I''m going to tell her that her words hurt me, because honestly the only thing she''ll be thinking is "I can''t believe dad told you I said that." So not really worth it.
20.gif

We''re not supposed to start trying until next cycle but I''m on the fence about just starting this cycle. The reason I wanted to wait was to lose some more weight, but it''s not coming off very fast. So I don''t want to wait another month and then be disappointed that we didn''t just start since the loss isn''t much. I guess the real moral is to work out twice as hard this month so it IS worth waiting!

Hey ladies! Wow, I missed so much!

Welcome, CDinNYC! Charbie, hello! Split_shank, welcome!

Congrats to Ambulance!!!!
36.gif

Mia, yay! Can't wait to see your chart!

Allie, TWW is tough! Oh boy! Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Good luck to lurkinglurker!

IHA, we're smilar indeed! When I felt implantation cramps, they felt like sharp twinges on my right side. I wouldn't be worried either way if things feel different or not. Women say symptoms vary with each pregnancy, so it's a whole new ballgame! Good luck to you!!!

Hey icekid! Nice post on letting go of the craziness! It is so hard!

CDinNYC, how awesome!!!! I wonder if we'll O around Valentine's Day? Wow! I feel like this cycle is so wonky, I might not even O at all this month! Who knows? Wow, Bliss would be such a beautiful and unique name for a girl! What a gift to the world because everytime someone would say that name, they'd smile. It's like a calming, peaceful mantra! LOL I made a list of baby names for DH once and he didn't like ANY of the boy names! He loved the girl names, though! I like names like: Collette, Chloe, Bella, Jackie and etc. I could go on and on with girl names. I'd love a girl!
