This 1960's estate gold, ruby, diamond and emerald ring weighs 17.4g and measures 18mm long x 14.5mm wide. This 'Little Shop of Horrors' ring is bead-set with a 0.17cts strip of full and single-cut diamonds graded I color and VS clarity atop a trio of prong-set 'free form', practically 'living', 'grape-red' carved cabochon rubies of 'fair' quality with 1.50cts of prong-set emerald baguette 'leaves' of 'good' quality. This little estate 'creature' has sprouted from textured 18k green gold and is detailed with engraved accents, fitting very snugly against the finger to make a colorful statement.

If you have those pieces from Rau in mind (the swirl ring with a green cab and the cat's eye), that makes two of us. If they are 'ugly' than that can only be by someone's personal taste or passing fashion - there is no fault with those jewels, IMO.

Others, dunno... some are weird. I can't immagine one of those metal claws on my hand, but some of my teenage cousins would be thrilled. The 'propeller ring' is stretching it, but then perhaps someone who had a meaming for that ring would turn it into a nice conversation piece rather than oddity. No propellers for me of course ,but, say, a jeweled paperclip pin would just be cute.
