Your Rep II: What do you think of "me"?

gecko--I can''t find where you posted that you wanted feedback, but here it is:
I think of you as being the life of the party, very energetic and motivating, and someone who is a ton of fun to be around.

kittybean--I forgot to add that I totally think of you as someone who would be my partner-in-crime IRL, as someone who would be perfect to run my Haven with me, and who''d totally engross me in hours-long conversations about really interesting things.

I am curious too. What does everyone think my rep is? I have a feeling I don''t make as strong as an impression as my DD.

Tacori, you come across (at least to me) as very sensible and down-to-earth. Never one to overstep boundaries or offend, but not wishy-washy either. Just very socially ept.

Oh, and you have very very good taste, too!

come on...you guys are being too nice to each other.

people can feel free to volunteer though... just don't try to make me cry...

Hrm, you want people to start being mean so the thread gets closed??

I think people are being nice because nice people have been the first to volunteer.

Oh, no. I must have missed those threads.
musey, you know I love ya! I'd never try to make you cry. Never.

I think of you as being extremely intelligent, creative, artistic, and cultured. You have a fabulous aesthetic sense, your wedding pictures alone are enough to tell me that. I also think of you as someone who enjoys good company and great conversation, although I suppose I really have no basis for thinking that. I ALWAYS read your posts, and I look forward to doing so.

Puh-leeze! Girl, you''re adorable, and you tell it like it is. I think you have fabulous taste in jewelry and all things wedding-related, and I''m always eager to hear about your celebrity encounters.

I've always found you to be very sweet and helpful, and it was fun to lurk in the pregnant community while you were pregnant with Tessa (and live vicariously through you).

Oh, and not that it's any surprise, but you and your husband make adorable babies.

Musey, I was really impressed (and a little bit jealous) when you shared in the Jessica Simpson thread that you didn''t care at all about your weight.
I wish I could borrow some of your confidence. I like reading what you have to say too.

Thank you very much, Haven and Ebree

Any compliment coming from the two of you is very meaningful to me. You both know (I would hope!) that you''re two of my faves. I''m glad I don''t have to worry about what you think of me

Alright, I want to know about me,

I will try to reply to some of yours, but I am having internet issues right now

Iluv, it's taken me quite a bit of effort to get there. It's hard to explain... I wouldn't say I don't care, I'm just realistic and unemotional about it. If someone calls me fat, I can look in the mirror and say "Okay, I can understand where they'd see that" and take it as either just their opinion that doesn't impact me, or as a suggestion to revisit my nutrition and exercise goals. I guess I could sum that up by saying that I don't take it as an insult or an attack, just an observation of the state of my figure.

Now, if someone told me I had an ugly face, that I'd have a great deal of emotional trouble with - because it's something that I can't (realistically) do anything about.

Neither of those would be half as bad as someone telling me that they think I'm cruel or unintelligent.

Tacori-I think you are a very nice person. You are very well rounded and I do read your parenting stuff even though I don''t have kids.

Musey - you are a very level headed person, and I loved your wedding pics

DF - I enjoy your questions. I always wondered if you were trying to figure women out or just like to get us talking about a hot topic

Haven - you seem very sweet and considerate, I could totally see you in the classroom teaching

Musey, as for being jumped on by another poster, you have to consider the individual and their past temper tantrums and evident egocentricity!

I like you for your insightful posts too, but that one really made an impression on me.

What''s my rep?

Yeah, you''re right... that one didn''t bother me so much, it was another more recent one by someone I didn''t even recognize. Too weird. Oh well.

Ltlfirecracker, thank you!

Musey, I think you are awesome. You have a great way about you.

Tacori,
I have great respect for you. I think you are very wise, and add much to the PS community. Plus I love what a great Mom your are.
T is lucky to have you as her Mom.

I saw that, too weird... Things have been a tad strange these past few days.....

Thank you, Kaleigh! You are a wonderfully kind and positive influence on the boards, so that means quite a bit coming from you.

I agree that things have been 'off' lately. Hopefully it will fade away soon.

Tacori, I also should mention that I get a little thrill when I see your avatar. Your little Tessa is ridiculously cute (and your tessa ring is one of my favorite pieces ever, the engraving on the side was just a perfect idea) and seeing her picture makes me want to have some chilluns. Don't know what it means, but it must be something about her cuteness

Sarah, you just rock. You are so funny, smart, with a wry sense of humor. I think you are too hard on yourself, and need to accept and understand what a unique and wonderful person you are, but then as flaws go... that''s a very small one. I

U. You are a very good and loyal friend as well... but I don''t want to make you sound like a golden retriever in groucho marks glasses.

Strm, I look at you like a sage elder (LOL that wasn''t an age joke, I swear!). I really trust your input. You''re always very level headed and you seem to genuinely care about PS and the people on here.

LOL~ Storm, I was thinking exactly along these lines. It''s funny that HH used the term "sage" too, because my little boy watches a show where Sage is the oldest and wisest Sprite of all. And, that''s very much how you come off. I''d also throw in the techie term for you. And, of course, grammar and spelling count for little to nothing, but your point always comes across.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made my husband watch it and he was like, "Seriously? You enjoy this? Oh, it''s... cute..."

Thanks for the responses on me!

LP~ Actually I AM a hugger, so it doesn''t sound weird to me at all!! In fact, I feel the same way about you...(in a totally not creepy way!)

Irish~ "cool", you must be lacking in the friend''s department. LOL Level-headed, on the other hand, I''ll take it!!

Gecko~ Re: length of time vs. number of posts. I think your particular frequency of posts indicates that you''re a confident person with an opinion that you know other people would learn from/benefit from/shut their mouth from.

Holly~ I do tell it like it is, sometimes to an exponential extent I''m afraid.

HH~ Well, just for you, I''ll keep the stories coming. Just out of curiosity (for my next story), would you think it''s funny to have your brother ride to Karate practice with a deceased man in the back seat, or just scary??

Haven~ You''re so welcome in my library, but, um, can I come to yours?? And, your Big Hairy Audacious goals.. (or something along those lines) I have another one. I want to make an air freshener that smells like books. MMMMM...so relaxing.

I''ll be back later to add my $.02, and I''ll have ones to make Steel cry! JK.

Thank you so much, gal! *Hug* Lol don''t worry, you didn''t make me sound like a doggie hehe! I''ve always appreciated your friendship as well and I especially appreciated the time you took with me before I started the law school admissions process..you challenged me to think hard about it and make sure it was what I wanted while at the same time giving me some tell-it-like-it-is advice about what it''s like. And as you noted, I am a bit of an over-achiever and perfectionist when it comes to myself this I admit 100%! Hehe. I''m working on it every day..in fact you know last semester I relaxed a bit more about grades and stress and ended up with straight A''s?
