I'm sorry that I'm REALLY late to this thread AJ. I haven't been keeping up with the biggest threads for the last three months because I've been living a medical nightmare, but........ I just read through most of this thread and all I can say is WOWEEEE!!!! What a deal you got! Your OEC is gorgeous and so are the baguettes, even Chipsy (bless his little heart). Gorgeous stones.

So...... what are ya' thinking, vintage style solitaire? Maybe JBEG's Sophie?

I would LOVE to find a deal like this. It would make my year.

Hey SS, cheers lovey! I have, it will be going in an 18k rose gold 8 prong solitaire - 95% on that decision..just have to wait until tax time and then should have the funds to set it in a couple weeks

Ha ha, cheers for your compliments on the diamonds and on lil chipsy, I am certainly happy with the deal I was lucky enough to get on this one.

I would love to do something like JBEG''s Julia or another vintage style custom, but that is not in the budget cards for the timebeing..
I am doing somewhat of a temp setting, but I imagine I will like it enough to keep it for some time

It will be an 18k RG 8 prong solitaire, based off this vintage one from Lang''s antiques - sorry for the dodgy photoshop, this ring originally had a cathedral..
So I would like mine to have no cathedral and a nice wide/thick band - probably at least 3mm..

I have been chatting with Michael E of Gemshoppe about this project, and he has given me a very reasonable quote for a semi-custom setting (cast head and stock shank).
Very excited to finally go forward with it in the coming weeks!
