Lol it's already Friday in Aus so I have to wait an extra day boo... But this will be the highlight of my weekend hehehe. Don't ever feel guilty about spamming us with photos and videos because we love it!!
It'll be about 24 hours still for you to wait! You guys are too funny! But in the meantime I'm using the ASET scope on everything. Unsurprisingly the marquise diamonds on my little Tiffany ring are mostly green, the little melee on my Ferko's bracelets are less red than the melee on my Victor Canera earrings, etc. I made my partner use it too! Such a fun tool.
It's so reassuring that the cuts are good on some of your purchases lol. We all know Tiffany aren't the greatest cuts.
You know it's really funny because we all have pieces we could take photos and videos of but here we are waiting for yours lol. It's kinda like how whenever you go out to eat and someone else's food tastes better than your own
I wouldn't be mad if you posted photos of your ring here!
The post I've been waiting all day for lol. Literally been refreshing PS since I woke up .
I love the stone and how it dances under the headlamp! Your partner is a champ and thank you for entertaining us (especially those of us that were waiting for it lol).
I really think that in any case you should have a platinum head for the stone. Maybe a little project for tomorrow would be putting the stone against the different coloured metals so we can compare haha.
Photo time! Gosh this was so hard to photograph, where are my really excellent photographers when I need them! Plus it's foggy today! What is missing in all of these photos is the brightness I see in real life.
ASET to prove that any darkness we're seeing is my photography and not the stone:
The thinnest part of the girdle ("very thin to slightly thick" on the certificate):
great size on my hand! Ignore the cuticles, I was too excited!
That 48% crown:
occasional kozibe even though she's not super deep at 68%:
In the jewelry box looking right at home!
I think she looks great next to both platinum and rose gold:
The certificate:
Such a clean clarity plot!
And a video on imgur, in case it won't embed correctly:
Thank you so much to everyone who weighed in throughout! Tagging and hoping I'm not missing anyone: @Dreamer_D @lulu_ma @peppermintpatty @lavenderdragonfly23 @maryjane04 @Grymera @madelise @newdiamondworld @Eli22 @OreoRosies86 @purplesilk @Inked @Mreader @LightBright @HS4S_2 @Rfisher @lovetodream @AllAboardTheBlingTrain @twosanguinehearts @viggy_luvs_bling
So beautiful! I think rose gold looks beautiful on your skin tone. Platinum as well. So I am officially no help. I am here for the pictures and videos. Such a beautiful stone!
Oh my goodness!!! Little G’s (I’m not sure if you’ve officially chosen her name, but that’s what I’ve been calling her, lol) first photo official shoot!!! Look at that ASET… no wonder my heart burst when she was listed in preloved. I’m so happy you chose her, her faint touch of warmth truly adds to her beauty… it is the icing on the cake
I absolutely love love love your style, and I’m going to say, 99.9% of the time I prefer a classic piece one would wear for decades to be a solid platinum or yellow gold… but honestly, I really love the rose gold on you and the platinum on Little G, and given the pieces you have…
I’m team two-tone: Rose Gold + Platinum basket & prongs… with a rose gold EW band and a platinum EW band!
I love the photos and the descriptions as well. I can really feel the love and adoration you have for this stone. She's a beauty and I am so happy for you.
I agree she will look fabulous in either platinum or two tone with a rose gold band. Maybe think about what colour gold wedding band you'd want and would you be happy mixing metals.
HI:
For someone who is New to Jewels, you have a really lovely array of pieces. Welcome beautiful diamond!
cheers--Sharon
Can I just fawn over your entire collection for a minute? It's just for days. Like @canuk-gal said, for someone "new to jewels", you've just made standout choice after standout choice, and it's so impressive.
As far as color choice goes, I love the look of the all platinum set, but that's just my personal preference. Your collection is an interesting mix, and you clearly don't seem to lean one way more than others, so I don't think you will really go wrong no matter what you end up choosing.
I love her so much. I especially love her slightly wonky outline which is just so characteristic of the really really old cuts! The size and shape are so pleasing and that lovely high crown.
I think she needs a plantinum head no matter what. And I like rose gold for the shank!
Try sitting in a window facing the sun (or jus ta bright window. Set the stone on the ledge or a box and shade her with your hand. Then take pictures. Also put her in a holder and put your hand against the window palm facing the window with the stone facing you. This always give great pictures. Go outside under a leafy tree on a bright day too.
