Queen Elizabeth is seriously unwell :(

Queen Elizabeth's death makes me feel so sad and bereft; I admired her so much.

+ a billion. I was at work today when I read of her passing...and if not for that I would have broken down completely.

My household is all very sad . It is easy to honor Queen Elizabeth--as her grace and fortitude is what we all seek but rarely find these days.

@Ally T I should have whiskey also. Raise a glass.

The world lost a wonderful woman today. She handled everything in her life with such calm and grace. It’s a sad for so many of us.

@Austina and @Ally T , Thinking of you both today knowing it had to be a very sad day for you.

A beautiful and regal life well lived with grace and extraordinary sense of duty. I always thought I had a special birthday sharing it with the Queen and my great grandmother.

How wonderful to live so long, so fully, to be overall very healthy, and completely compos mentis right up to the day or so before death/ Really, one couldn't ask for more!

@Daisys and Diamonds , @Begonia and @canuk-gal, I apologize for not mentioning the three of you above. Honestly, I think the queens death has saddened people everywhere. I hope she knew how many lives she touched and how she was loved all over the world.

thank you

even though HM was British she was also a New Zealander and a Canadian and an Australian etc
i honestly beleave no other person not born here will ever love us or do as much for us as HM on the world stage (well im sure our new King loves us just as much because thats how his parents raised him)
The PM has been telling us how durring the pandemic the Queen would ring up to see how we were all doing

But the Queen was the only Queen we have ever known, we have to get used to the sound of having a king
i ahve to stop calling him Charlie and have to start calling him King

gee there has been no adds on tv today
i just noticed

Our TV is very dark this morning. Literally - everyone is wearing black & all logo's and banners have been changed to black.

Mr T & I have both appeared downstairs in jeans & a black tshirt for him, a black blouse for me. It was automatic. I suspect everyone I see today, including staff at school, will be wearing black too.

What an elegant, graceful, clever & loyal woman we have lost.

I liked her and Prince Phillip the best of the entire royal family. I'm surprised at the depth of sadness I feel at her passing. It's truly the end of an era. She has been the monarch for my my entire life, and she was dignified and sensible and strong. And private. The younger ones never had the sense to keep their personal lives and personal problems private. It will surely be strange to have King Charles III on the throne.

eta: And she was always so well dressed! Never, ever dowdy. She was very inspirational for how to carry off old age with style. :-)

It’s the passing of an era isn’t it? When people say the Queen, in so many places around the world one will automatically think of her and it’s a tribute to what an icon she is.

RIP…

Will Harry and Meghan's children now be HRHs, as grandchildren of the monarch?
What is Camilla's title now?

As grandchildren of the monarch, they are now eligible to be Prince and Princess but the Queen had grandchildren (think Princess Anne’s children and Prince Edward’s children) that were not styled that way as their parents chose not to have them titled as Princes/Princesses. It’s up to the Harkles what they want… hopefully no more lies and nonsense from them though I doubt it will stop.

Camilla is the Queen Consort.

I feel profoundly sad, more than I expected. The Queen has just been such a constant presence in the fabric of the UK, I have never known life without her. She is such a champion of unity and that has been much needed through recent divisive politics. I think we will miss her more than we realise.

Such a sad day. I'm in a bit of disbelief, I think she's just one of those people that I irrationally felt would be here forever.

Reunited with her beloved Philip.
