Queen Elizabeth is seriously unwell :(

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and saw I was asleep.
All my family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with my Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where Kings and Queens,
are Monarchs every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the people's friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our palace up above.

what time did the news break for you ?
We woke up to it this morning (HM passed away around 5.30am friday our time i bealeave)

It started at lunchtime UK time, when the Palace announced they were concerned for her health. And then the BBC remained live, following the family arriving at Balmoral, to the announcement of her death at 6.30pm & so on.

Most UK TV channels are still rolling live today with events. All the Church bells across the country will be rung at noon (my little school is next to the village church, so I will get to hear them loud & proud & obviously the Vicarage is across the lane from the Church in the next village along, where they will also be loud & proud), to a 96 gun salute at 1pm & then following King Charles as he arrives back in London later today to meet Liz Truss, then will televise his first live speech to the nation this evening.

Queen Elizabeth was a truly good human being and a great example to all world leaders.
The world will miss her.
May she rest in peace.

I've teared up on and off all day thinking of Her Majesty.

She was such a stable presence, there was a part of me that had a completely irrational belief that she'd be around forever.

May she be reunited with her beloved Philip, ponies and puppies.

I don’t know if any of you have seen this, but amongst the sadness, I wanted to post this to show you that the Queen had a sense of fun and good humour. This was part of the recent Jubilee celebrations.

And who can ever forget her and James Bond. What a great sport! I watch that over and over.

Feeling so sad about this...so strange to think of a world without Queen Elizabeth in it. She was a part of my life for so many years. I hope that somehow, someway, she is with her beloved husband, her "strength and stay." :cry2: My deepest condolences to all the PS members who have lost their Monarch.

did you hear the bells all muffled
they showed a big Auckland church on tv last night and the minister was exspalining the muffles

It’s lovely to hear the impact of this across the world. She really was a truly remarkable woman.

I have found it very difficult over the last two days. I didn’t expect to feel like this. I am not a royalist or very interested in the royal family. But as a Brit, the Queen was a constant in my life, a consistent and steady presence in an ever changing world. And I really never thought about that and I certainly took it for granted.

I also admired her duty and composure and sense of fun. Like everyone’s favourite grandmother.

The next days and weeks will be full of celebration of her life, as it should be. But the deep personal sadness was not what I was expecting. Although I am glad she will be back with Philip.

William has been declared Prince of Wales.

The Queen‘s coffin is going to lie in St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh near where I live, I’m hoping to go to pay respects.

@Austina as expected, the Platinum Exhibitions at royal residences have been cancelled.

I only e-mailed the organisers earlier today to ask if Buck House would still be opened on Sunday 18 September, the day of my visit, as I had concerns about the area being packed with mourners.

My other trip next Thursday to Windsor Castle has also been cancelled.

I already have a return coach ticket booked for Sunday, and have decided against going up to the Big Smoke, and shall pay my respect in my own little way closer to home instead.

St Giles in Edinburgh tonight. We were fortunate to be able to file past the coffin. She is guarded by the Royal Company of Archers., they looked amazing. It was a lovely experience.
