The I does look a touch whiter but only a touch. Then she mentions brown tint and a dark inclusion. If you are able to return the ring and J, I guess that is a low risk pick. I know you want the size and if it works for you, then it is a winner. If not, you return it and start from scratch with a smaller, higher color diamond.

agree, its hard as i can't see the inclusion and i don't know if it's in a place where it can be covered with prongs?

They do have a G coming down the link thats 1.7 but its WAY more than i am willing to spend. I feel like if the J doesn't work, then I am going to get a G at 1.5 and be happy with that.

I think this is a great plan. If you aren't happy with the J, I'm not sure an I would work either. You would probably need G to H and you can decide if the size bump from getting a J is worth it to you after seeing how fabulous 2+ carats looks

and should i be worried the proportions are similar OR does that not matter as the K was not an ACA?:

The J may have a bit of tint to your eyes but that isn't the same as it looking dark. Just remember how bright it looks in all of the photos and videos!

That is right - they are not that close at all. Your K is very deep with a steep crown and pavilion angle. You should see a huge difference in performance between the K and your new J!

Thank you for saying this. I don’t know any of what you just said so i appreciate you pointing out what I needed to hear. I also remembered today that I still have my k (wf pendant) so I can literally put them side by side and see how white the J is compared to the k !!!

I think doing this alone will be all I need

I don’t know! I got small aca’s last year that I love. They are in a bezel setting so it makes them look big

Maybe I’ll keep the setting with sides and one day get a saffine in it.

Hubby says he wants to bring full ring back to where he got it and get his money back but I gave the k around my neck and I want to keep it I think.

So not sure

Becca said they could buy the metal maybe and send me back stones loose

When looking for a stone - should it be above x % ?
Like above 90% or 95%?

The J I have is only 89%
And I don’t know if one should want that % to be higher then that ?

Is the % a score related to quality vs price ?

Just curious

For example there’s an H that’s 1.5 and it’s score is 92.31 and my J is 89.23

Can someone help me understand what these score means and if I should have my new stone be a min of what %?

Did you all use this for yours ? If not, for the stones you adore - what is their % in this site?

If you say your stone is super white and fiery and this site only says 85% then that shows me the % doesn’t necessarily correspond to reality. You know what I mean?

I would tell you to stop worrying - if I thought it would help! Lol! Waiting is the hardest part but you do have options if the diamond doesn’t make your heart sing. It is hard not to be apprehensive and filled with worry. Many of us have been there but honestly, the worry won’t change a thing and will run you down. Just try to keep busy to help the time pass!

No problem and I do understand the anxiety this brings. Most people in my world don’t understand how important these gorgeous diamonds are to me, so sharing here is my real outlet! Use it as you need to as well!

I am not sure how these sites do all of their computing, but if your diamond is getting a B, they need to change their algorithm!

You chose a precision cut stone with amazing numbers, and I hope you can trust yourself here. I generally watch my Whiteflash videos a gazillion times while I'm waiting for things. I think it helps me fall in love with the stone, even before I get it! Lol

It's an emotional purchase and it's a lot of money, so it's ok to worry. But please don't let the worry steal your joy and excitement! A gorgeous 2ct ACA in a beautiful setting is headed your way soon. Have fun and enjoy the whole process!
