OMG Mandarine...you are seriously my baby belly idol. Please send me similar vibes hahahaa. I feel like a blobbo today.

Thanks to all the sweet well-wishers, I know we were on the fence for a long time (YEARS)... but it wasn't until recently we thought, well ok maybe. And our relationship has solidified over the years into feeling like we would be mentally ready. I think we will be good parents, I know it's not the same but HELLO our dog is so great...!! hahaha. It is definitely a 'bonding' experience with your mate! We are already having the convos about making sure we back each other up, I already know I am going to be the hard-ass and he will be the pushover! He already is with the DOG.

Though I do have to say that sometimes I am like OMG WTF are we doing?!?!?! Uhh a little late I guess.

Kaleigh...I saw that article about the swine flu, scary stat is that 6 out of 45 preggo women who got it died. And I was waiting for them to give some sort of extra precautions or something for preggos and they didn't in the article. Greg posted me the link about the vaccine and preggos being first in line so I have to write my DR and find out what she thinks. We are flying to Spain in end of August so now I am a little paranoid...if there is a vaccine and I intend to get it, ideally before our trip would be good.

TDM, of course I remember you..it hasn't been that long!! Push present, amazingly enough not yet. I don't even know what I would want! I am more like...lets get stuff for the kid now, jewelry whaaa???

In CA, and a few other states, it is law that flu shuts must be thimersol free. Might want to check with your docs on that. I did mine when I was pregnant and got the thimersol free one.

I don't participate here much, but I'm 12 weeks Sunday and all I know is I am praying that the end of MS is in sight!! I had it until close to 17 weeks with T and I'm not sure I can endure that much longer with this one!

Seriously love your nursery. You make me want to do mine over again! How are you and sweet Henry doing?

Swine flu- Scary. Most of you know that my brother''s GF had it, and my dad was supposed to come visit but didn''t b/c of possibly infecting me with it. I thought my dr was being a tiny bit paranoid, but wow, so glad he didn''t come.

Question- how do you guys post a montage? Like Sabine''s belly shots??? Once I FINALLY find my stupid camera cord I want to do one, but have no idea how.

Thank you all for the compliments about the nursery! You know, it''s funny- I was in such a rush to get it finished and stressed about the tiniest details, and he''s only ever in there for diaper changes and rocking (when he''s fussy). He sleeps in our room now and for the forseeable future.

TDM- You''re so sweet! I actually love Rate My Space...I visited the website myself a few times for inspiration. I''ll definitely add a photo once I get the curtains and bumper up.

China- We''re doing well, thank you for asking! He''s snoring in my lap as I type. He''ll be six weeks tomorrow. Time is flying (!), although it doesn''t feel like it the last 24 hours. He just entered his six week growth spurt and has been wanting to nurse, oh, every hour. I''m rather exhausted. How are you feeling? I know the idea of labor is hard to comprehend, but once its over, you really do forget about the intensity of it. You''ll do beautifully, and I''m looking forward to seeing pics of that little boy of yours!

I know I''ve (well, we''ve) graduated to the newborn thread, but I''m still lurking here (love all of the belly photos!) and thinking of all of you.

Mara The tech guessed boys for me at 13 weeks...and well...they are definitely boys! (I ask every time I go, just to make sure! hehe). You guys will be great parents!. It''s funny because that''s also what we always say.."we did such a great job with the dog, these kids have to turn out ok too!". Greg is going to love feeling the little one! It gives them a whole new sense of ''there REALLY is a nugget cooking in there''!!

Steph Way to use the pregnancy hormones!!!!. The tears just seem to come easy, don''t they? The other day I started crying because my friend was late coming to visit. Seriously, upset and crying! (turned out he was lost!)...hehe.

China You are nextttttt!!!....uhh, I''m getting excited for you!!! You have to post a belly shot!...and I want to see your nursry! I already know I''m going to love it. I was also wondering how Sabine did her collage. I did one using paint...but there has got to be an easier way!!

Re: swine flu/ flu vaccines- My doc recommended I get a flu vaccine while preggo because it helps the child not to get sick for the first year after birth. I was supposed to get just the regular flu vaccine in my June doc's appt, but the nurse forgot to give it to me. Then in July I asked for it, but all the vaccines had expired and new ones aren't coming until October. But by that time I'll be in my 3rd trimester and I got the impression I need to get the vaccine while in my second trimester. So unless I can find one at a pharmacy or something I think I'm out of luck! And so it also seems like I won't be able to wait to get the swine flu vaccine.

Of course I've never gotten a flu vaccine at all. So I'm not overly concerned.

Ebree I love how you decorated the nursery! Is your wall art fabric stretched over canvas? And what kind of wood floor do you have? Is it cherry? I just love the color.

Hi Sunkist!...Same here. Actually, my Dr never said anything to me about it...and I haven''t asked because I''ve never gotten the flu shot. I guess I should have asked but now it sounds like I''m too late!.

When does the official 3rd trimester start? I''m confused if I''m still on 2nd or 3rd? (26 weeks today)

I have to share:
My first client of the morning told me she thought I was showing more than I should be for 18 weeks!!! I didn''t know what to say, I think I''m just barely looking pregnant. I can still wear all of my jeans (well, they almost button, I use a rubber band for comfort) I will post a pic tomorrow and you guys will have to let me know what you think

It just blows my mind that anyone would even say that... I''ve been staring in the mirror all day checking my belly from different angles, lol. I''m someone who is already borderline obsessed about gaining too much/looking too big so she really threw me for a loop today.

Good morning everyone! I''ve been out of town all week (and super busy) with work all week so I haven''t had a chance to get on here. I''m afraid you''ll find that I''m something of a random poster which is probably why I''ve never been much more than a lurker.

I promise to try to do better.

Congratulations Monkeypie, Mara, and Pinkflamingo !!! It''s great to have some new people on here with me. Mara I''m super jealous of your 13.5 weeks. I can''t wait to get there! and Monkeypie and Pinkflamingo it sounds like we''re all super close. I''m 5 weeks 3 days.

It''s been a very uneventful week for me after last Friday''s crazy freak out but I guess that''s a good thing. I''m really having a hard time wrapping my head around all this and, to be very honest, after the initial excitement wore off I just can''t get excited. I''m so paranoid that I''ll let myself get excited/ attached and something will happen. I wish I didn'' t know all the statistics. It''s getting better though...every day it feels a little more real and I''m hoping I''ll feel even better after our Dr.''s appointment on Wed.

I did tell one of my best friends last weekend... actually she flat out asked me when I refused a drink of her margarita if I was pregnant and... given that she is one of my closest friends...I didn''t want to lie to her. I''m avoiding the subject with everyone else and although they may suspect they''re not going to call me out. We''re still torn about when to tell our families but I''m thinking I want to wait until the end of the first trimester to tell anyone else.

BTW.... CONGRATULATIONS to Sabine...by the time you read this you''ll have your baby but I hope everything went great.

It doesnt'' seem that long ago that you were starting TTC and I was thinking about it (and chickened out for nearly a year!)...good luck!
