Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Neat, Lucas would have DH''s dad''s middle name as his middle name....so it''s definitely a very special name for DH.

I could give Alexander a random middle name, but then I feel like I included one grandpa and not the other!....my dad wouldn''t care though.

Another option is to give both the boys my maiden name as their middle name. DH is open to that, but I really wanted to honor his dad in some way.

...

So confusing

happy Friday by the way everyone!. Today there is a huge worldwide "walk" against Chavez (unfortunately, my country''s President!)> I wish I could go to the local one, but it''s like 2 hours away and it''s over 90F here...so it''s not a good idea!.

Instead I''m taking the day off and getting a prenatal massage...much needed!. 31 weeks yesterday!!!...and here is the pic from yesterday :))

Next week I start with the non-stress tests....I''ll be going twice a week until the boys'' arrive! seems like a lot, but that''s what the peri recommends.

Steph,

Yay for Evan! He''s gonna be a cutie, I can tell!
9.gif
How excited is Andrew to be a big brother?
9.gif

****
Thinking of those about to have their babies. You can do it! Yay, mommies!!!

****
Mandarine, I love that you post your belly pics so faithfully. Look forward to them each Friday!

Hey, guys. I am posting my half-way picture. I am 19 weeks, but they are taking my little guy at 38, so I am officially half-way now! Yea! Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the weekend!

Mandi, you look so great! Cute bump!

Thank you Fisher! Andrew is so excited! He is making piles of stuff like clothes that are too small for him to give to the baby and always wants to buy it stuff when we go to the store. He can't wait! Good to see you

halfwaybump.jpg

Mandarine: Hey! You look great!!! I was going to suggest Andres or Nicolas, but I see those are vetoed. Sebastian????
17.gif

My faves have always been Javier and Joaquin, but it sounds like your DH wants to move away from Latiny names. Adrian??? Some people think that''s a girl''s name when they hear it.

I can understand the sibling rivalry...I would be concerned about that too.

I can''t believe they are having a walk against Chavez!!! Is there any particular reason? I know he''s not a fave, but I don''t know if he did something recently...

Thanks Fishie! I take a pic every Thursday (my "weekaversary")...so I always have it ready to go for Friday ;))

Steph, you look so GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
9.gif

Lanie, DH vetoed Sebastian and Adrian and he defintiely wants to stay away from very latin names (I love Javier but that would be a big no-no). He likes latin names, but having grown up in the mid west with a very latin name, he just wants his kids to not go through what he went through...and just wants a more common name...

Chavez...I don''t even know where to start. He didn''t do something specific recently, more like he does something every single day...he''s just a Dictator and a violator of human rights. He has destroyed Venezuela...completely destroyed it
15.gif
. All of the basic rights are getting stripped away slowly...a country so rich, so full of brilliant people (the ones that haven''t left by now, thanks to him), so beautiful...and we''re ending up following Cuba''s steps. It''s just so incredibly sad to be governed by a crazy dictator.

Mornin Ladies! Hope everyone is feeling good... LittleLysser: You still hangin in there?...

Well today was my 39wk Dr appt. I am 39w2d...Due date is 9/9. There has been NO change in my status for the last 3 weeks or so. I am STILL 1cm and 75% effaced
emotion-18.gif
The Dr told me that if they give you til 41wks and if baby still isnt here they induce. So my lil man has technically til the 16th. I am going to wait til my next appt, the 11th (IF i havent already gone into labor) and discuss with the dr the possibility of inducing a few days earlier then the 41wks ONLY cuz DH has to go away for a few days on a buisness trip and I wouldn''t want to chance him missing Logans birth...so ...guess we''ll see! HOPEFULLY this will be my LAST Belly Pic Friday!

argh! this thing is being stubborn...ill try to post again in a bit

Mandarine I think that it is totally fine to name one of your sons Alexander... maybe name the second boy born that name that way the first one can brag about being older and first, and the second can brag about having a name that is related/similar to dad''s name.

Mandarine-

I think Dreamer's idea is a good one. The first boy could be Lucas *Grandfather's middle name* and the second born could be...Alexander Thomas? That way, they both have just one family name. In case you decide against Alexander, have you considered Anthony? What about Gabriel?

steph, congratulations on team blue!
36.gif
Evan's got such a cute little profile.

sapphire- (Easy) labor vibes headed your way!

Congratulations to all the new additions!

I agree. If both kids only have one family name AND the younger kid is Alexander AND your DH never goes by Alex I think you are approaching fairness territory.

So hard with twins-we ended up not using any family names because there was only one we liked and didn''t want to be unfair.
7.gif

Congratulations GingerB[:appl:]

Steph-Congrats on team blue
30.gif
. Evan looks wonderful (love the name btw!) I hope they come back with good news re: your cervix.

Viz-Wow 33 weeks already! Time really does fly.

November-Love, love, love the name Olivia. That would have been my first choice if that also wasn''t the name of Mr. Fiery''s ex-long term gf
11.gif

Natalina-My OB never mentioned the strep test to me. She just did it lol. I remember laying there and going ''oh, ok well that''s new''

LL-majah labor dust your way!!!!!!!!

Mer-Congrats on a great appointment. We opted out of the NT scan as well. We decided we wouldn''t terminate either way. My very good friend and his fiance are having a baby that they discovered has down syndrome (or I guess the tests revealed that she will). He regrets getting the test done now but still grateful he knows so that they can prepare. It really is a personal decision. I never got morning sickness or any symptoms throughout the whole pregnancy (
25.gif
). Maybe you''ll be a lucky one too!

Tao-36 weeks is usually when to start worrying and the OBs will start talking about a possible c-section at that point. DD was breech at 29 weeks, flipped at 30, then went right back to breech at 32. By the time 36 weeks came around, she was in the right position.

Phoenix-That''s wonderful about mat leave! I''m almost going back to work and I wish I had more time.

DrK-What a gorgeous baby!

Mandy-Maybe its just me but I don''t really see the link between Alexander and your hubby''s name. I guess Alexander would be maybe the English version of it but I still see them as being different (maybe its a spanish thing that I see them differently?).

Sapphire-Sending you labor dust too!

Hello, Ladies!

Well, I love the name Alexander because that''s my hubby''s name!
3.gif
SO,...if it''s a boy we both want to name him Alexander and if it''s a girl, I would like to name her Jacqueline. DH doesn''t want that name for a girl but wants Marina. I don''t want that name!
15.gif

Since, we are on the topic of names, what are u ladies planning on naming your little ones?

I know I am normally just a lurker, but no one is at work today, and I am bored, so I am going to go a little pic posting crazy

First one is my contribution to BPF. 37 weeks as of yesterday.

The next couple are of the nursery, which is FINALLY finished. I know a lot of you like more modern nurseries, but my husband wanted it to be "babyish". I really like how it all turned out.

Sorry, but this is going to be in like 5 separate posts, since I don''t know how to post more than one pic at a time.

A good shot of his crib.

And last but not least, the glider I got for FREE off of Craig''s List. A woman right down the street from me was cleaning out her garage, and was giving it away. The fabric was stained, so I just bought this $50 slipcover from Overstock, and it looks as good as new. I''m pretty proud of my find!

Awwww....what a sweetie.
He''s going to be a great big brother!
Cute tiny belly.

Mandy--
I always love seeing your belly shots.
You look great and still so small, especially for baking 2 in there.

SoCalGirl--
Yay on full term!
Love your nursery and the dinosaur theme -- so cute!

meresal-
yay on the heartbeat and seeing the little bean.

drk--
great u/s.
love the last one of the spine

Thanks for the info on breech babies and when to get concerned. He seems so content hanging out in this one spot, and even when I drank sugary drinks--he just stayed still and moved his arms and legs around but didn''t do any moving. Glad to know he still has time to get moving.

As for baby names: We have chosen Evan Alexander for our little own...neither are family names---the hubby picked them out one night while we were laying in bed and we were both like "yes!". We''d been debating on names for about 5 months before that.

This was going to be my suggestion, too. With twins, there seems to always be ribbing about which one is older, so give the younger twin the "honor" names to balance it out a bit.

Very cute nursery, so cal girl!!

Thank you guys!!!

Dreamer, I LOVE that suggestion!!!!!!. For some reason I kept thinking we could name the first one born Alexander,....but that would only make it "worse". LOVE your suggestion! Will tell DH tonight and see what he thinks!. Then the first one could have my favorite name (Lucas) with a special middle name...and the second one could have a version of his dad''s name...since nobody calls DH Alex, then it should be ok...

We''re making progress!!. We may still change our minds, but I think this may work

Thank you all for the suggestions and comments!

Ebree, I like Anthony, but don''t like Tony (I always think what he''ll end up being!). I like Gabriel but DH thinks is "too soft"...*sigh*.

Socal, yo look great!!! yay on being full term and what an adorable nursery!!!!

Thank you Lili!!! You''re so sweet

Have to comment on today''s photos! Mandy, steph and SoCal you girls looks beautiful! Lovely bellies!

SoCal great job on the nursery! What a great find with the glider too. Love getting stuff for cheap or free. I''m in love with everyone''s nursery. I''m dying to put one together but I don''t know where!!? Ahh! This kid of mine is going to come and not have his own space. Poor kid.. :P

Thanks ladies for the comments on the nursery

I just got back from the doctor. They were running really behind so it took forever, and it was hot in the room and I was getting really grumpy. Not sure how people make it over 40 weeks, because I am ready to have this baby OUT! The doctor said I am currently 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, and -2 station. So he''s not coming right away, but hopefully I won''t be waiting to be induced at 42 weeks or something!

Hi ladies! Quick drive by posting.

Our little guy made his grand entrance into the world this afternoon at 12:20 pm. One day before his due date.

My water broke last night around midnight and after an easy labor and delivery, he came into the world weighing 7lbs 14 oz and 20 and 3/4 inches.

We think he is absolutely adorable...and are going to come decide on a name ASAP!

I''ll post a birth story and pics at some point, just wanted to update you guys!

so cal girl- Cute belly & cute nursery! It looks very babyish! Luff it!
17.gif

Yeah Littlelysser and Baby LL! Welcome to the world, may you soon have a nice name

Ohhh! Congrats Lysser!!!! Can''t wait to hear what you name him
